Jayme So i haven’t updated in a minute, but I have a valid excuse, I promise! So last month, after much planning, I got married to my very best friend, who is now my wife! We then went on our honeymoon, a week long cruise, which was absolutely awesome! Then we went to visit family, which is when we got Covid,… again. So yeh, we left the country, sat on a small floating city for a week with over a thousand other humans, came back and THEN got Covid…. hmph! I mean it is kind of interesting that a virus can effectively use the fact that we are social creatures with familial bonds to ensure it infects as many people as possible, but i digress.
So why am I explaining all this, other than a ’dog ate my homework’ level excuse why I neglected my ever important blogging duties? Well I wanted to point out how effective this gig economy can be to reach your goals. Now I do have some other supplemental income, but for the most part we paid for the bulk of the wedding and honeymoon with money I made doing deliveries. So while the gas prices soared higher and higher, I was still able to make the funds we needed. In the end isnt that why we are doing this, well why I am doing this; to meet my financial goals, and to do it my way. No uniforms, no bosses, no set schedules. Just me, my ride and my drive to survive. Im not saying its for everyone, but if you have a working car, and a good lay of the land, it might be a good fit… until it all eventually collapses of course.
